This is a very important ministry of proclaiming the Word of God. Candidates for this ministry should possess the ability to read the Scriptures with expression and clarity in such a way that conveys its meaning and facilitates the listener’s ability to understand.

Regular Ministers for Sunday Liturgies should already have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Certified Training is required and provided by the Archdiocese. Additional parish based training may also be provided.

Stewardship Opportunities:

• Serve as Lector at Sunday Liturgies
• Serve as Lector at Weekday Liturgies
• Serve as Lector for Holy Days, Funerals and special liturgies or parish programs
